Arjun Mehta is a seasoned System Software Engineer with over 8 years of experience developing low-level software solutions that power high-performance embedded systems and operating system kernels. With a solid foundation in C, C++, and Rust, Arjun has led initiatives ranging from memory management optimization in Linux-based platforms to the design and deployment of custom device drivers and firmware for next-generation hardware.
He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. Arjun’s professional journey spans both established companies and innovation-driven startups, where he has consistently contributed to improving the performance, stability, and reliability of mission-critical systems.
At Kronix Systems, he plays a lead role in the development of embedded Linux subsystems, collaborating with hardware teams to bring new devices to life and championing the safe use of Rust in production firmware. Outside of work, Arjun is an active contributor to the Linux Kernel community and a passionate advocate for open-source development.
In his downtime, Arjun enjoys tinkering with microcontrollers, reading sci-fi novels, and exploring the outdoors around the Pacific Northwest. He’s driven by curiosity, precision, and the belief that great system software quietly powers the world we often take for granted.
